Would you pay SGD600+ for a product if it's made of paper???

I was given this wallet by a friend to make a watch strap…


I dissected the wallet carefully to preserve the best parts…


Dissecting further, I discovered something strange…


Although I don’t own any LV wallets, I’ve experience with different materials used in my work. Still unsure of what I’ve seen, I intentionally tore an unused area. The loose fibers look like it’s a thin layer of cardboard that is embossed on one side and coated with PU.

Anyway, I went ahead making this for him…


My friend purchased this product from the Singapore Boutique. Can any expert comment or confirm if LV uses 90% paper and only 10% leather for their products? Or if its 100% leather?... Or 100% synthetic materials?

Sorry to say, but I think that wallet has been a fake. As a matter of fact, I'm about 90% sure that somebody has been fooled!

Lol. Lucky I sold all my auth LV stuffs. Scaly cut real LV wallet inside paper and fake LV inside leather. Lagi tulan. Lol.

few of the bros here got straps made from LV handbag.... not sure whether got others use old "real" wallet to make straps or not?
