Ridiculous! Your $$$$ is already sitting in their bank account while your watch sits in the service centre for god knows how long within 1 week of your purchase. There shd be compensation of 'loss of use' man. I'll be pissing mad if I were u.

Just called Cortina. The sales chap who sold me the watch was very helpful. He's going to check with his boss if there is a recourse if the watch is a lemon. He's also going to find out from the service centre to see what's wrong with the watch. As for one to one exchange, lemon law doesn't appy because law kicks in 1 Sept. I bought the watch before that.

Upon assessment of the watch and internal checks within Cortina, i will be advised accordingly. While I doubt a one to one exchange will happen and I'm not insisting on it...let's see how it turns out. Fingers crossed I don't need to go through the ordeal of running to and fro the service centre.
