    Hi all

Conclusion is, the further u drive away from singapore, the more likely they allow singapore cars to pump 95 n yes some petrol stations along the highway do not have ron 97

hi....you are officially not allowed to pump anywhere in Malaysia. Just that the cashiers dont expect many foreign cars to come in and pump. I have pumped 95 ron in KL and elsewhere except JB. As usual, do wat u want, just dont get caught.

If their Matas catch you pumping Ron95, they might strip you naked and ask you to do exercise in police station. Dun play play.

Hi TS, i guess you have to based on your "actual day response" and judge by your self bah as such issue, hard to advise and to someone who have no idea might give you wrong advise hence its best to see & act for yourself as there is a saying "You can do everything at your own risk but don't get caught only"

          Cheers!

There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you could not find RON97 along the North-South Highway. Unless you are going to use the old trunk road and passing through small satellite towns, then that might be possible.

Isn't it ironic that we have locals here complaining about foreigners taking advantage of the loopholes and yet we are discussing how to take advantage of another country's subsidised fuel for it's own citizens.

The RON97 over there is already very cheap. Don't be a miser.

                This is never a problem,
Many rules implemented, but it just doe not make sense.
Many a time, we pump our own petrol.
So in the event we already pumped the full tank of 95, are we suppose to pump it out again?

They can make all the laws they want, it's always the enforcement they have problems with.

Alternatively, you can try Petronas 97, it runs smoother than anything we have in our little red dot.

pay them 10rm to pump 95, u might as well use the 10myr to pump 97??

anyway, foreign cars are not allowed to pump 95 in both JB and the northern state near Thai borders. 95 is good for most cars unless you are driving high pressure turbo or SC or super high rev performace cars.

word of caution: always keep a look out for motorcycles coming in petrol stations especially at night hoping to grab your iphones or S3 or valuables when pumping petrol. make sure you have sight and access to any possible objects including broom sticks or anything which you can grab and use as weapons in event of motorcycle robbery. last resort, use petrol pumps and spray petrol at robbers. my friends encountered at least twice of attempted robbery at petrol koisks.
