    calling all photographers,

was wondering if anyone of you is interested in a meet up to take watch pics?

maybe we can all meet and bring own gear and take pictures and share experience?

Hi everyone.... I am a complete idiot to cameras.

I am getting a gift for someone who is also a beginner in photography... a SLR...

Anyone using Nikon D90? Good or no good?

      Any other recommendation?

For beginner Canon or Nikon lower or mid range can't go wrong.

Its how you like the feel. Nikon more solid feel than Canon in the lower end.

Nikon more made in Thailand Canon Japan.

I got the D90 already. Initially, I got it as a present for my friend... after playing with it, I bought another one for myself.. This is quite a good camera...

Anyone can advice me what lens should I get for shooting watches closely?

I don't really get the effect I want by using the kit 18-105 VR

Is the 60mm Macro better? or should I get the 50mm prime lens?

              Anyone using the 60mm??

Otherwise, the 105mm can be an option. Thanks Triton.

go to clubsnap, there is a section where you can rent photographic equipment. rent them and try them. take photo and see how it turns out. that should help you make a decision.

                                550d is sufficient .
Use the savings for better lens or lens type.

It's not necessary but good to have to buy the higher end models.

If budget allows I pick 7d.
