Anyone familiar with FENDER Stratocasters?

After a hiatus of 20 years... I'm toying with the idea of finally getting myself a US-made American Standard or American Standard Deluxe Stratocaster.

... anyone has a suggestion of where to get one these days? Is it still Swee Lee? When is their next sale?

Yes still Swee lee. But what kind of Genre do u play? Do u always play in a place where an amp he always available?

Just another opinion hor bro, I would rather spend my money now on a Martin, Taylor or a L series Yamaha hand-crafted. They give a depth of sound unbeatable and sounds damn good. I don't think u do performances, else this would have been easily affordable to u by now and would have gotten it since it is a necessity as u do perform or at least a Les Paul. But since u didn't and just play the instrument for a hobby, then an acuostic guitar would be so much more flexible.

Dunno about others but in my era, Eric Clapton was the icon for the Fender Stratocaster. U should know who that a right?

Thanks guys for your suggestion. I'm a lousy musician ... but its been an on-again, off-again dream for 20 years to own a Fender Strat... so I thought maybe 2009 is it!

But maybe I should look at a acoustic eh ... Martin or Ovation? But these are not cheap... maybe more , for my mediocre skills.

Martin Vs. Ovation

Martin - played a D18 once.. didnt want to put the baby back down... its good if u you are a hardcore musician
Ovation - play one and you already score on style points if you plug the Ovation into an amp.. no horse run

owned an ovation though i am not good at all

but if you wanted a Fender for 20 years, go get an American Strat, i think u should get it, love it......then buy an Ovation or Martin
