A friend had GS hybrid, he told me 0-100km can be achieved in 5+seconds. That's fast!

currently driving the mkv GTI, fortunately for me the gb is holding up pretty well. change DSG oil every 20k, engine oil every 5k, and never once did the car let me down over 140k+ km. what i have heard is that the dry clutch 7speed is the worrying one.

mines a stage 2 and i do abuse it once in a while. hehehe

          Cheers!

              Hi sickfield,
i go to a reputable workshop for all my servicing and modifications. they specialise in audis and vw cars. i have rarely if any at all heard of a dsg 6 speed giving way without endless abuse. having said that.

i would suggest when you want to buy a second hand mkv gti to go to a workshop you trust to do a thorough check before committing. that said, sometimes suay also bo bian.

              Cheers!

                Hi renaissance_myth,
yup I would definitely have the car checked out thoroughly before buying one. I was toying with the idea of getting a manual mkv to get around the issue, but there were strong objections from the HOME Minister heh

LOL Home Minister don't like to drive manuals i guess? but manual there are not many around the used market although you can easily upgrade to clutch to handle the upgraded power although to my knowledge there are no bolt on twin plate clutches for the GB. having said that, one of the joys of driving a gti would definitely be the DSG. and that is coming from a hardcore manual advocate.

                  Cheers!

at least you try to take preventive measures. you really take good care of your car I see.
wah change dsg at 20k? Wet 6 speeders drink a lot of dsg fluid man and total change is more ex than 7 speeders.
My 7 speeder change at 30k, plan to do that with 7.5k engine oil change interval.
do you lup other stuff in engine oil?

i lup a bottle of ceratec to the Engine and MT10 to the DSG.

Juddering is still there but greatly reduced.

Of course nothing beats fresh oil regularly.

Yeah not many manual mkv in the market...but it was due to the Violent Objections from the Home Minister that I started looking at alternatives in the first place

                                LOl bro,

was at the showrooms over the weekends and the prices are kinda nuts, 250k for a 328. Could have gotten a relatively new GTR 3 years back man. WTF!

                                HAHAHHA!
