I have a different tactic, any new Rolex or other watches I will tell those "friend" its fake. Once ever I did that and a "friend" take a real hard look at my Patek and finally commented: Ya I look fake alright!!!!! Real classic.....

That's classic! I was laughing aloud. Share with u One incident. My very stylo female fren bought a white face 42mm exp II. Someone commented 'eh, nice watch! Seiko ah?' she sold it off the next day! She still has a few rollies. And I got that model soon after. Bcos lim peh like the watch. Wakakakakakaa....

actually, this is precisely why i bought a white dial explorer ii. match it with a leather strap or a nato strap, it really disguises itself totally from the "untrained" eyes. due to my age and my occupation, i don't like ppl to tell what i'm wearing and hv the wrong impression. they can actually look into it and read the time, yet not knowing what it is!

once, there's even this colleague of mine asking if i get my watch (wearing with a black/grey nato) from some promotional sources, then when i said nope, he still asked me what brand, then i said no la, no need to say out the brand, then he said ok in this awkward manner, like scare he wld embarrass me and tt e watch is most likely bo brand one.. lol.
