What's the most nasty comment u get from your friend when u wear a rolex?

depends on which one i wear. if i wear any of the old datejusts, people tend to ask me why i'm wearing my wife's watch. if i wear my dad's full solid gold datejust, people calls me a thief. if i wear my ex2, people asks me which grade and if it's from a back alley in shamnghai. hahaha!

"How many match sticks and got rolex etch anot if not is fake"
"Why you buy this... you should get ____ instead is much much better lo"
And well ownself happy can liao lo..

Jus wondering is there a sarcastic yet elegant way to reply idiotic people. I realise sometimes ignoring is not the best way to counter them.

I have my firs air-king whe i was 25-26... yup many people think i uncle. hha... rolex still potray the uncle image.

Which brand can penetrate the minds, gain the trust of such a huge market? Uncles, yuppies, professionals, business owners, new rich in china, old rich in Europe, aunties, countless watch traders, pawn shops etc etc. - only Rolex.

Fake one ah - bcos its so good it generated a fake market. The day someone copies u. U know u've made it!

Actually been fortunate have only had nice comments. Actually when we look at overseas forum, enthusiasts post their wrist shots and choreographed watches proudly whether if they are Rolex, Seiko, Swiss army, orient or Pp. there's a purity in their interest. Price or status is secondary. Love what u love and be proud!

Once i wore a Rolex wg bracelet daytona to attend a dinner with my father friends.. all uncles in their 60's.
Few of the 'experts' commented .........

(1) Ask me why i dun buy half gold jubilee?
(2) another uncle ask cost is it around $5k ?
(3) 3rd uncles shows off his YG Rolex king to my dad and brag it cost $10k plus

Uncles you think now still 1970's izzit? daytona $5k?
A steel daytona around $17k now and a WG daytona now retails for $40k plus and i can buy 3 old 80's Rolex kings of yours.
