i went to the sale earlier (again)... found out the white AP RO was a 15202 (not 15300)... and itz been sold.

chked w watch arena - they have a pre-owned 15300, not BNIB as i had hoped for.

and the list price for 15300 is S$19.8K.

        better luck next time!
The list price for the original AP RO Jumbo (15202) is over SGD28K. This is the famed watch originally designed by Gerald Genta who also designed the PP Nautilus. The flatter and rarer Jumbo has an exquisite automatic movement that is very hard to manufacture and very expensive to make. It was designed in early 70s and is still amongst the thinnest autmatic movements todate. Its still revered by many top watch makers as the most well respected automatic movement for its efficiency and quality. It will outlast the 15303 easily in terms of longevity.

It is the ORIGINAL AP RO. Everything else that came after are just variants. For more about it, google it on my blog to see an article comparing it with the PP Nautilus.

At SGDD$14,400 - who ever bought it, is a very lucky collector. It will never be gotten anywhere else in the world at that price.

          hi harry,

i'm a frequent visitor to ur website! ur articles are informative, n interesting to read.

i agree that the bloke who bought it has got himself a fantastic deal @ 50% off list for a BNIB pc.

the built, up-to-date aesthetics and fully in-house movement of ur 15300 is v appealing to me. but yes, the 15202 is still the classic AP RO.
