Fairly long queue at lunch time to go in. Finally got it but the range was quite limited, as pointed out by other visitors already. Frank Mullers had quite a selection (mostly diamond-encrusted ladies watches) but other brands not so much. On the whole, seemed like quite a high proportion of ladies watches (and curiously, quite a lot of ladies turned up to shop too). It was hard to get a closer look with the number of people thronging each display counter!

Based on previous experiences, is Sincere likely to bring out other brands, ranges over the next two days?

Thanks for the discount and pricing info Allan on the B&R. If only they have BR01 or BR03. Still prefer the square BRs.

Economic recession still got people able to afford a $100K watch. It means times are not so bad yet! Or the worst is yet to come!

I saw a Zenith tourbillon with a >$200,000 price tag and near it was a Chopard (I think) tourbillon with a >$180,000 price tag. And both pieces were, like the rest, just chucked together with a bunch of other watches!

Just got back. When I went in the queue was quite ok, only about 4-5 folks in front of me. By the time I came out ... OMG !!! At least 70-80 folks lining up, all the way out past the lift lobby. What recession????

Anyway, molested a couple of very nice pieces.

                                - The JLC 8 day reserve Reverso
                                - The JLC perpetual calendar (yes, the 111K one, reserved already. After discount aroun 44K)
                                - The Zenith tourbillon platinum
                                - Zenith open heart white gold (really loved it, looked so nice on the hand, couldn't bear to remove it from my wrist and give it back ... *sob sob*)
                                - Chopard happy diamonds (for the wifey ... heng she don't really like watches)

Also, must tell you all this overheard conversation at the sale. Your comments and views very welcome. Overheard by me, watching a customer interested in a Breitling chronomat & superocean. C: Customer, S:salesman.

C: Tell me about this watch
S: Its stainless steel, water-resistant 200m, chronograph stopwatch, etc, etc
C: How about compared to a Rolex submariner, around 7+K can get mar, this Breitling 5.8K which one better? I thought Rolex better right?
S: Oh Rolex ar, actually nothing lar, its only the Asian market drive the price up lar. Actually, world-wide its not a very good brand, ranked around below 25. Breitling different, its around the top 15 or 16. Much better buy than the Rolex.

At this stage, I had to walk off, about to burst out laughing. Couldn't take it. I was standing right next to both of them, desperately trying to hide my "lousy" low-ranking SeaDweller. ROFL.

My friend next to me with his GMT IIc SS also nearly burst out.

Guess I "learnt" an important lesson about our beloved Rollie's relative ranking in the horology world then.
