Very important until the first in-house movement servicing is required. Then when that breaks the bank due to the price gouging of most of the ADs, you really appreciate base ETA movements.Current COLLECTION

1. Let's talk swiss and german watches only.
2. Modified ETA movements (such as 7750 used in IWC chronos) are considered as ETA movement in this poll.Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

Hence in order to avoid going into debate of what is in-house or is in-house always better etc, I feel it's better to confine this poll to swiss/german watches.Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

* Very important. Appreciate in-house movement and ETA movement with good workmanship.
sorry :P
While the performance/function of a modified ETA movement may be enhanced, the same cannot be said for a "decorated" ETA movement, however good workmanship the decoration might appeared to be.Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

if i am to pay more than 8k for a watch, i'd expect to have a full inhouse movement instead of ETA modified ones.
less than 8k, then brand equity/design/comfort comes more into play because at less than 8k, difficult to find watches with genuine inhouse movements.Currently Wearing
