Currently I have 3 pairs (Boss, LV and Bally) for rotation but I intend to get one berluti and one mtm Bally; didn't really get attracted to Ferragamos though
2 days ago I was in Ion and the sale guy in Church was so stuck up that I just walked out after less than 20 seconds. He just lost a potential sale
Local staff? The Filipinos service is all right bUT if local then I agree with you.
bUT you can get church at taka or isetan too.

Rockport is tied up with Adidas so you would find them at sport shops.
Cole Hann is with nike iirc.

              Not outdated but classic. Lol!

But seriously they have got modern looking cuts. The scribe series dun have unfortunately but they are welted.

Ferragamos, traditionally for women, also makes pretty decent men's shoe that I find are well designed, comfortable and durable. These are my 3 fav brands.. Still trying others but whatever you buy, don't buy Cole hans!

having worked with some of the factories in china, I am impressed that Coach and Ecco can still maintain QC to such a standard!

ya agree that quality there is varying. and we are hearing more and more news of strikes there cos of pay too low keke..but might be a good turn. hopefully with better pay, they will feel that its more worth it to give more consistent QC...

Im a fan of Tod's shoes too. But mainly the classic loafers. I also like dolce gabbana shoes for their modern slim cut. Prada shoes design also not bad. I go more for the cut and design than the durability. but I do rotate my shoes so they do last quite long...

I also come across Berluti in a magazine when I was in Shanghai, those Chinese really know how to enjoy life, everything also must the most high end stuff. Even safe (those we used to keep valuables) can also be made from very high end finishing...
Whatever brands, as long as you feel good when wearing it then it serve the purpose (just like our dear Deng who said 'black cat white cat, as long as can catch mice is good cat')
