Rockport is comfy and value for the buck!

Can run a marathon in it ok. The cushioning is nice.

        Not heavy for you? Lol!
It's like a ss omega planet ocean on the wrist.
        Sturdy and robust though.

I m happy with my Church's at the moment. Haven't tried Berluti, but I think it's too expensive for me. Max I will go is Church's

Having survived the SAF old army boots 20 years ago, Rockport is super comfy to me!

                I know what you mean.
My knees were damaged during ns.

So now have to pay more attention to footwear.

Todd shoes are pretty good and comfortable but gets worn out quite easily. Bally shoes are great, well made, super comfortable but design tends to be rather dated and boring. Ferragamos, traditionally for women, also makes pretty decent men's shoe that I find are well designed, comfortable and durable. These are my 3 fav brands.. Still trying others but whatever you buy, don't buy Cole hans!

QUOTE=wolfeyes1974;550851]full of praises from friends who own berluti but I can't imagine wearing $2k+ on my feet.

Yes everything is relative to another so to each his own
By far this would be a cheaper 'hobby' compared to watches and cars
But again you know guys lah, when they into a hobby they can say until that item FLY SKY DIG EARTH just to convince the other half to go along with them (haha so do I)

The leather would also need regular maintance in our humid environment. You dun wan to spend thousands and the shoe only last for a year.

There are other mtms like corthay that's great too.

For me Bally off the rack fits me well and I have several pairs of biz shoes plus loafers.

The church shoes are robust and traditional English welted ones. A bit heavy though.

                      Ferragamos are ok.
Just to check what would be an appropriate way to maintain such shoes? Thanks
Currently I have 3 pairs (Boss, LV and Bally) for rotation but I intend to get one berluti and one mtm Bally; didn't really get attracted to Ferragamos though
2 days ago I was in Ion and the sale guy in Church was so stuck up that I just walked out after less than 20 seconds. He just lost a potential sale

Really?? That is one added bonus for me cause without it I would still be very tempted to buy
                          Thanks for the info
