  • i think 5.70mm is for the movement only as the sapphire is already 3.6mm thick .

Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers have optimised the case to resist the extreme pressures exerted well below sea level by varying the thickness of the case middle, the back and the crystal. The thickest point of the middle now measures more than 5 mm – almost double that of a watch that is water resistant to 100 metres. The back is screwed in to ensure regular and more reliable compression of the joint under strong pressure. The sturdy cambered 3.60 mm-thick sapphire crystal will need to hold its own at the incredible depth of 1000 metres, corresponding to a pressure of 890 kilograms – the weight of a small car!

                    • No need ba... lol.. dun tink the amount would come up to alot...

Tink if we not gg for fundraising we would not need a permit..... but we need to contact the organization first... and to show the confirmation from them on our ebay listings.... this is to prevent fraud or ppl from tinking that we are using the name of charity to sell our items at a higher price..

so would be good if we can have a meetup asap..

                      1) confirm the organization to donate to.. (shortlisted some eg in the other feedback thread)
                      2) contact the organization
                      3) finalise the list of items
                      4) Advertise the fund raising... so that there will be more potential buyers/doners
                      5) Job done... pat on the back for all that have contributed via items/hardwork...
                      6) Have another meeting to makan with whatever funds we have (leftovers, etc)

this thread is quite difficult to follow ... its 15 pages long , not to count mention something about a charity gala along the way..

Can we start a new thread to discuss a meet-up ?
