Moreover whats a nice watch and whats a nice car?
    Affordability is often misunderstood imho
There are multi millionaires who won't even spend 1K on watch
And others wiling to plonk 10K for a Rollie
I guess the intent of TS's question is more a question of desirability, which is a more compelling discussion imho.

      Yes, i agree to that.

However if you look at the posts here, its all about affordability and value holding.
      Hardly anything about true desire.

so very strictly one choice only, watches or cars, base on desire, for me i would likely choose watches.

I feel that watches being on our wrists all the time, creates a stronger sense of sentiment.
That compared to a car which i only drive barely an hour a day on average.
I am also more fascinated with the intricacies of my watch's caliber than my car's flat six engine
      Thats me.

Do any of you have this dilemma? Example a Merc has around 15-20 k depreciation per year dependent on how long you hold onto it.

            Thoughts?

**watch is always number 1 priority then car for me ! if you own a mercedes and you don't wear a nice watch, something is wrong .. still, its up to own preference.

Highly suggest you get a watch and just grab a decent car.

Vehicle depreciating asset. Watch can appreciate.

Both car and watch are the same. Massive depreciation when you buy new and roll out of the shop.

In Singapore there is another issue with cars, COE.

Watch is a better investment and above all of you can buy second hand you will not see the large loss, instead preserving your investment.
