  • Young Singaporeans lack drive

...some CEOs told Education Minister (ST special report, Thursday 2 Feb)

These are what some employers think of the young Singaporean adult:

    1. Risk adverse
    2. In a comfort zone
    3. Wants instant results
    4. Easily discouraged
    5. Doesn't think outside the box
    6. Might have had good grades but lacks street smarts

    What do you think?

I did quite a few interviews as I was looking to hire and found it to be true on most but not all candidates who are local....

Manage to get 2 local grads that are pretty good in my books.

Yep, don't think the employers in the report refer to all but majority of our young adults.

And I think some older Singaporean adults also have those attitudes/mentality

I know of a young grad who sets up his own design firm and still goes around teaching piano part-time.
