banning one's "handle" is useless as he can easily create another to come back on - that's if he hasn't already been having multiple accounts simultaneously carrying on a conversation.

you can click on new posts to see which threads that have new posts in them.
if you add a user to the ignore list, the ignore user post will not appear.
this way, i believe you can see other members' post
