I am thinking of IWC chrono 3717, any advise?

Went for the IWC 3717 in the end?
If it's a first watch, 7k budget choices usually stick with the more known brands definitely Rolex, Pam, Tag(?)...
for variety or something more different I like Ulysse Nardin (their marine diver is sporty/chronometer is more classic formal), Zenith, even Hublot (selectively for second-hand...) look around and you can find some good buys within budget
