FX for me wasnt lucrative enough base on effort vs returns
Spent so much of my time and effort to trade FX spots forwards and exotic options for a year and in the end made only $30k.
Really not worth it .i feel my time is more precious. i was lucky i didnt walk away with a loss
Yes bro throttle. Some ppl thought that it is easy money and they increase their risks. That is the wrong thing to do regardless u are dealing in forex, equities or shares. It's all the same. It's all about maintaining discipline and following the system.

Well. For me, I usually trade with statistics and have a small stop loss and small take profits. Hence, not that risky afterall. Have to emphasize again, discipline is very important. Anyone interested to sit in our next free forex preview please contact me at 96325421.

of all the colleagues I spoke to, none of them spoke about winning from trading of stocks. I recall this chap who became very quiet since the greek crisis which resulted in a 60% paper loss. he's like a santa claus by nature but I guess he wont be having a merry x'mas this year.

Yup. Can make money as well as lose money. But so far for me, still making so maybe ain't too bad. Lol. No point lying, I did lose money when first started because I was too impatient and too greedy. But when u lose, u go through why u lose and duh commit the same mistake again. Now making back my money. Lol. Good skill to have cause when I am old, I can still trade rather than sitting home doing nothing. Lol

                boss,

                now i getting really

in post 1 of this thread you say doing trade in forex allows feed habit of buying watches.

then in post 16 of this thread, you say that doing trade in forex curb habit of buying watches.

so trade in forex can potentially allow one to have more income to buy watch or trade in forex force one to standby money for forex so that one cannot buy watch.

                your sentences are contradicting.

Great one there! I started trade with losses too. I mean bad losses. Overtime I learn and master the technique of managing your trade by risk management with input of indicators and funtimental technique. I'am moving towards recovering my losses and heading for profiting! I do agree with Xiao jay that discipline is very important in fx trading.

One important thing about forex is choosing of instrument. Risk? where does risk comes from? it comes from not knowing what you are doing! If you know what you are doing, if you know your own character, your trading habits, your realistic profits and losses, your risk appetite etc. I have guided many people how to trade. However one advice, why trade forex when you are better off with commodities like gold and silver? Forex perhaps at most 200 pips a day, commodities - 3000 pips a day movement.

+1, commodities is the way to go. That said, my opinion is commodities isn't for the casual trader, retail investor types. There's still a way for small time players to get some exposure to commodities though, say through Gold ETFs, commodities funds etc.
                            What's in the box:

No, dont get me wrong. One should always stick to trading the instrument they are comfortable with. I do trade forex too, just that i prefer to trade commodities on MT4. Anyway technical analysis is pretty much the same, for me at least.
