Certainly its not about experience, experience do play a part but the ultimate winner is one who follows the rule of the game. To play the game you must understand the rules of the game. Even if one is ahead, how much ahead before one leaves the transaction? If one enter, what lot size is favourable? These are basic rules of the game.

Trading is not gambling, its an art of earning, that when you master, it will be useful for a lifetime.

My coach always tells me to be firstly, disciplined and secondly, patience. A winner always stops when he has won enough. That's why u must first control the greed. Discipline is very very important...

discipline in FX trading is not about controlling greed.

i would also be very careful about robert kiyosaki - that guy would write, do and say anythin to make a quick buck. i would steer clear of anyone who espouses kiyosaki and his crew when it comes to "earning money."

as far as i'm concerned, if you're trading with money that you cannot afford to throw away, please don't do it.

IMO trading with SG$50k is not enough. so we're talking about $75k-$100k of money that you must be able to "donate" to learning how to trade in FX before you can make enough money for your time and stress.

there're plenty of demo acconts online (OANDA, etc) - if you think you're up to the mark then it would be easy to trade and make money consistently over 6 months. piece of cake - right?

once you're trading with your own money, your psyche changes. and trust me - humans were designed to be mentally weak. good luck!

FX is not for most people. if you don't have enough money, even if you have the skills, you cannot make enough money to make it worth while.

as for the TS who is asking people to join his course... i think one offer is enough. twice is pushing it. thrice is just not nice.

So far I haven spent much on learning this skill and on investment as well... Below 5k in total... Ppl are very skeptical about such investment because thy feel that u need a huge amount of money in order to make money... FX trading is not that risky because u can never lose more than what u have in the account... Maybe it's pointless for me to say so much because people will not believe till they do it themselves. Lastly, I ain't forcing ppl to join the course. It's only when there are free previews showing what's all forex and all the course it's about which I will then state. I dun remember trying to push this every single day or every other days. Cheers

Strongly suggest u don't waste time n money on these course, including those bull ****ters who demo "live trading". Traders make money via spot n derivatives. Pure spot trading can never make u money. Go buy shares if u wanna speculate, much easier to make money in stk or futures than fx.

This is another bull**** concept. Big profitable trades can come from small profitable trades. Traders let their profit runs and cut loss prematurely. Control greed? Successful traders control fear and good risk n money mgt, not control greed. Good traders stop their trading if tgey have bad days, not when they have good days.

Well... I have nothing to say about that. It really boils down to the traders themselves. I am still a very conservative trader hence it doesn't makes much difference to me whether the market is crashing down or shooting up. I only go for my intended profits. I DO NOT go for more. This is the discipline I have set in me.

Anyway, there is another free forex class this coming Thursday at SMU. One of sg roc bro is actually my coursemate when I went thru the class. Lol. What a small world! Ppl interested to join in the class feel free to contact me at 96325421. Cheers!

trading is about taking risk; without risk, why even bother to trade? if trade without leverage, i wonder how many watches or frequently can a successful retail trader fuel his watches purchases after all the trading slippages, especially in this rangy mkts? And if one places tight/trailing stops or TP, he will probably get squared more frequently than he can imagine, and eventually dig himself into "law of large number" effect where luck will run out. And how merciful can black swans in FX mkts be to conservative traders?? if so conservative, might as well go invest in MM or soverign bond funds? Just like those housing experts who conduct expensive forums, these trader/mentors probably make far more money conducting lessons than trading and they offer you nothing mroe than a textbook could offer. Whatever advise they have, they will say what you like to hear: that their strategies are conversative, disciplined, test and proven pre-programmed trading formulaes with oco levels etc., requires little time and energy except the initiation and orientation stage, .., followed by some magic shows on "live" trading. viola, thousand bucks of profits within minutes, made by housewives with little Fx or economic knowledge and little effort??!

i hope this forum won't eventually turn into japanese housewives FX clubs or a MLM platform.... the bucket shops/online brokers/mentors certainly make more money than our poor naive retail scalpers...

From Nov 2011 till now, there are more than 10 posts from you asking people to contact you if they want to attend free courses. However, there are many other members mentioning that it is not as simple as what you have put forth.

So why is it that you keep telling people to contact you for free courses? There must be benefits for you else you wont keep asking people to attend.

Not only 1 member is warning others about the dangers of forex, but several other members including senior members. As another member already pointed out, more than 3 times is like no-no. Why do you still keep offering people the idea?
