neither for me.. i was so psyched about the bigger case and orange hand when it was first announced.. but somehow when i saw the watches in person, i felt kinda underwhelmed, perhaps because i had such high expectations of it..
not to mention the MSRP price, a DSSD or pre-owned daytona is prob better value at this kinda price range..
nice watch nonetheless.. maybe can consider again once the prices have readjusted to reality after the initial euphoriaWhat's in the box:- Patek Philippe 5726A
- IWC Portu Chrono 3714-14
- Panerai 187 Subzilla
- Garmin Fenix 3

i agree that the case looks overwhelming. looks too big compared to the previous model (16570). also if you compared the size (black dial) against the GMT IIc, somehow it looks bigger.if you have issues with your account, click here for self help and read forum rules here. 90% of your answers can be found in Forum FAQ

i am afraid i can't share the price as i have sworn to secrecy. this is to protect the interests of those involved. i believe you understand this as well as you have been caught out several times.

I've never experienced "hard to resist" price thus far because I can seldom afford any cash payment in full for a luxury watch that costs more than several hundreds of dollars. Found out recently from a 'less friendly' AD in Chinatown area that this model is actually selling at a premium amount of $13,500. A friend also disclosed to me recently that she bought it at early $10K from an AD. So I just wanna rough estimate of the pricing before buying one on a 36 or more month credit card instalment ..

A certain group staff discount is 50%.
I guess can only guess. Rolex not under "group"
"hard to resist" for me be 30% up for new Ex II.
Will not even consider buying at list.
For white dial i prefer old Ex II.
The new hands are a little to big for me. Its already very legible.
I will choose the black dial new.
The matt dial with the polished hands looks balanced.
Nice contrast and you don't feel that the hands are too big.
Still I will not pay a single cent more than GMT IIc for Ex II.Audemars Piguet Ball Bell&Ross Cartier IWC Longines Omega Panerai Rolex Sinn Tissot
Alba Casio Citizen Roox Seiko
Wanted to add PP but bo lui

I had (or am having) the same dilemma myself - which one, and what colour?
Personally i like the white dial at first look, but black seems to be a more enduring colour over the long term. However my opinions were based on the 40mm one, and i haven't had a chance to look at the 42mm in the flesh.

as case size is same between GMT IIc and Explorer 216570, somehow the Explorer II looks much bigger than the GMT IIc.
the hands are bigger for the 216570 compared to the 16570.
i was looking @ both watches for close to 2 hours yesterday. i left the shop none the wiser.if you have issues with your account, click here for self help and read forum rules here. 90% of your answers can be found in Forum FAQ
