Yes, it's a manual wind. I don't know of any pocket watches that are auto, although I stand to be corrected if someone proves otherwise.

Basically, it's called an 8-day watch because it will last for 8 days before it needs to be wound again. In those days, 8-days was a wonder.

You can start from AP? Or rolex? I saw that rolex used to make pocket watches but in the Cellini series though.

I did see Tissot or Seiko making these before.... maybe those will be a good start... Pocket watchse are becoming more rare when most folks could look at their phone for time....
