  • Time to go back into the Stock Market

I have been out of the stock market for past 2 months but with the recent positive news coming out of europe I started going back in and its been an up and up week!

Just wondering if any collectors here are into the stock market too and your views for the last 2 months of the year.

...before Rolex and my other crazy collecting hobbies, the stock market has always been and is still my first love (exception of loved ones, I'm talking material items here)....

most rewarding when you are right and most unforgiving when you are wrong

Too much optimism in the market despite uncertain news (all eyes on euro). I too scared to go in yet.
Best to go in when there is blood on the streets =D

Aug was a good month to speculate (high/low of market confidence, expecting of "good news" eg:debt celling to being unavailing or e insignificant impact and the "manipulation" of the US market by big players*) Trading was a daily affair with nose constantly on the computer/phone screen at funny hours.

Playing safe now- wait(patience) for real blood and buy in periodically then hold (indefinite)
Must control the urge of "wah lau Shd buy now la! Look at the 2 year-low price! Won't go lower Liao la" (dont apply this on watch purchases, it's for the Man not for the Bank)
Yes e unavoidable Downturn (take advantage of it) start saving up now for the bigger purchases so you get plenty of better deals then

            Cheers!

With the positive news in Europe coming out it has indeed been a good week! But i agree with mivecboy, it's the christmas rally effect - good for you if you're a speculator.

The big crash didn't happen. Or yet?

Better go slow. Wait a bit. Stomach the ups and down.

Get some cushion. At market low, still don't hoot all.

Studying the market only helps a little. No one can predict accurately .

Careful or kena by your partner

there could be another 5% more but not worth the downside.

having bought at recent lows to average down my portfolio, i'm very much looking to let go what i havent sold.
dont get caught with lackluster fundamentals and toppish technical
Thanks for the heads up bro. I took some profit last friday and this morning.

always good to be prudent. these days have to be very quick to take profit and cut losses.

bought cosco the week before at 99.5, sold last friday at 1.085 (it went to a high of 1.10) before closing 1.055 last week
this morning 1.04. if drop more I may go back again...
