  • Which tourbillon in this videos is more beautiful ?

Lets focused on the tourbillon aspect of the watch, not the dial, not the hands, not the brands not the price but just on the small tourbillon that is spinning around. Listed below are a few different types of tourbillons. Which one do you like best ?

I still prefer the 'flying' or carosel type tourbillons. Looks more attractive and more eye catching. I have a German-made watch which has the same Seagull tourbillon movement as in the 3rd video. Technically it's pretty good. Only failing is the finishing.

Sorry but none. I don't believe in tourbillon's functionality with respect to a watch accuracy so no point having it. I cannot imagine the cost associated with servicing a tourbillon watch when a simple 3 hands watch already so expensive now.

                  I prefer the 1st and 2nd one.

Agree that the tourbillon may not add to the accuracy of wrist watches, unless its on 3 axis. Cos if I am not wrong Breguet invented the tourbillon when the watches were still mainly pocket watches and kept vertical. And even at that time there were detractors already. And I think even now, there are only a few COSC certified tourbillons.

Anyway it is a work of horological art and its very captivating to see the tourbillon cage going round and round and the balance wheel oscillating within and the escapement mechanism stopping and going.

And its going to keep getting more expensive to service watches with complications.

Anyway you can also find me standing outside of THG, Cortina and Sincere staring at the tourbillon watches, esp if it wound up and moving.

Drop you a PM with the price. The only problem is this a limited run job. The German independent who did this watch only made 50 units. Last I heard, he was totally sold out. I got the third last piece.
