Am in a dilemma after selling off my SUB DTE
Which of the following should I do with the free up funds?
1) Keep the $$ for rainy day... (boring but it may be the most logical thing to do in this economic climate.. well, not that big a matter in my opinion though)
2) Initially intend to get my wife a Rolex.... (kana poison along the way)
3) Buy a GMT cII
4) Buy a Squadra hometime
5) Buy a Bell & Ross and keep the balance
6) Buy a PO and keep the balance..

Use the leftover to buy panadol if you still got headache after that.

keep the money first. wait to see how the financial crisis developed. if it is going for clearer skies, buy the ladies rolex. if financial crisis going for darker skies, you can bargain more as it is likely less people will wan to spend money.

currently getting the GMT IIc and or other watches does not seem to be a good option to me. the GMT IIc will drop further(IMHO). B&R watches have lower resale value compared to rolex. Likewise for PO. if you decided to get either non-rolex brands, make sure you like it and have no intention to flip.

If keeping the money for a rainy day is not an issue, guess buying her a watch when the right time comes is a right thing to do. IMO

Can consider the GMTIIc. As long as not paying over retail, you'll be as good as option 1. Wear it daily, dun care about scratches, enjoy the watch. In 2-3 years time, AND after 2 to 3 price increases, you can still sell your watch at or above price u bought at. Sure beats putting our hard earned money in the bank (and earning next to nothing interest), rather enjoy it on our wrists
