Mid-Life Crisis?

Has anyone gone through this or is going through this now??

Besides buying stuff like a nicer watch or car or boat, did you do anything else like picking up a new skill or something? Just thought it would be interesting to hear from those who's half way through life.

I though of learning a new language or write a book.....since change car, watch, house all out of my reach.

Yeah, wanted to try something new so bot a sports car with manual transmission. Regret like fxxx every time I'm stuck in bad traffic, not to mention the numerous speeding tix and $ spent in "upgrades" in bbk and what not. Wanted to pick up piano but forever surfing sg-roc, where to find time? Since I discovered this site, I hardly visit car forums these days. "playing" watches is definitely more affordable than playing "brembo hks" etc. Hehehe

Playing watches more affordable than car mods?? Hm.. depends what car I guess. Have done the usual dribbling in car mods, hifi, wine (still in), road biking (gave up, too dangerous), watches (most ex so far). Thinking of more picking a new skill or experience...some thoughts that crossed my mind;
- learn to fly (but tough in Spore)
- learn to boat (but so far frens who have license don't use it)
- write an app
- painting (since photography is so common now)
- cooking (professional style)
- marathon (nah...too many in my age group dropping like flies doing this)
- write a book (but who reads books nowadays?)
- buy a vintage car and restore it?
- get a bike licence and buy a Ducati (this seems popular)
- play the piano

thinking to upgrade to class 2 licence and get massager bike. but lazy to go learn.

i dust off the cobweb off my racing bicycle and doing about 40km a week. low mileage compared to most cyclist.

im thinking of going back to school. going to ITE or similar education centre to get electrician certification.

be a volunteer police or teacher or counseller, do charity work, or be an activist? if too much brain and wallet power, go do a EMBA?

Ya, volunteer work, travel exotic places etc are part of the to-do list. What is EMBA? Electronic MBA?

Yes. Ultimate aim is to get 2 but quite sian must get 2A then must wait etc.

Got my 2B back in 1998 but have not been riding since I got married. Biggest hurdle to taking up lesson again is the nagging of wife!
