Watch for a friend that's leaving

I wanna get a watch for my best friend cos he's leaving the country for a long while. Budget around 3K.

A bit about him: he's rich, likes sport cars, but humble and mature, and dresses very simply. Mid-twenties. He doesn't like anything fancy (except cars) and wears a g-shock. Tried to test him a bit:
1. Tag carrera in rubber: doesnt like chronograph
2. Sinn: says the name and the font of the logo looks like a China brand
3. Omega: finds speedmaster too complicated, only likes big eagle.

Any recommendations? 3K hard to get understated cool watch right?

hmmm. the ball night train. if u dun mind pre owned. can get from oceanklassik. he's only selling it at 1100. quite a good discount and the condition is like really new!

Not so sure about Ball anymore, cos a colleague we all dislike, wears one. Sinn would have Street Cred but alas, he hates the logo. Rolex Explorer I is prob a good alternative but alas, not enough budget. Tested him about Panerai, but he's not interested at all, but then again, its also out of my budget. IWC tried to sue his family so he hates it too. B&R may be too loud for him, although its something i may wear. I think he may like VC, again, crazy crazy price. I think the problem is my budget for a watch is too small.

Went to check out Omega Double Eagle at Mustafa just now, but darn, none at all. Now mustafa very limited Omega pieces cos apparently they are gonna stop selling Omega very soon.... waste my time. Prob gonna check out double eagle tmr, hopefully within budget of 3K. If still cant find, then too bad lah. A good meal lor, haha.

haha. bro oceanklassik. i seriously dun know why nobody has got it yet! haha. really much cheaper than what you can find anywhere for the condition.

and as for tudor! good choice! below 3000 you can also consider brands like tissot t-touch, which is real cool. and certain omega models like the speedmaster reduced or the 39mm railmaster.
