i didn't mean to come across as rude... but you did not give enough details... what money? the COV or... the flat's valuation? or both?
i know they sell you a flat with priority and i think there're subsidies... sorry i can't be of more help, but i think the more details you give, the better people can help you.

Agreed with clokwerk oranje's comments, but I will attempt to help anyway...
It should be treated the same way as you would sell your flat privately - Whatever amount you and your spouse/co-owner of the flat withdrew from the CPF to buy the flat + the interest that you would have earned had you not used the CPF money, would go back to your CPF account. The rest, if any left, would be paid to you in cash (i.e. cheque). That is if the rule has not changed.

NO. HDB will not do so. just ask those staying in Hillview avenue years back and those in clementi where the recent HDB enbloc took place. They will not return your COV. They simply average out the prices of flats in the neighbourhood and compensate u with a price(or given u a new flat) less than u paid for!
Even if the compensated price is less than what TS has paid for his current flat, he should still get back some cash since according to him he paid more than half the price of the flat in cash.
As far as I know, HDB do not compensate you a flat, but give you the priority to buy the re-build flat at the same/nearby location, if there is such a project.

Apart from what the HDB pay you what they deem is worth in that particular time, they also pay some kind of relocation fees, that is what my relative get when her block was affected by the SERS thingy.
