The story about watermelon, is often used to relate to the buying decision in the stock market, or so I was told. Hence the (original) morale of the story is to advise people to not be too greedy and aim for the BEST PRICE, as you most probably will not recognise it even if it comes.

So if Triton is holding off his buying decision in wait for the best price, this story is relevant.

But if Triton is undecided due to choice of different watches, or is unsure if he really like the watch, then it's another story

Regardless, I agree with what some bros have said - life is short, just do it.
