As per the title had describe, what's your view on this?

As for this 2 weeks, i am having an ICT at CMPB, Depot Road Camp. Today, upon returning home, i saw one NSF wearing a White Dial Milgauss waiting for bus. During my time, i only saw NSF including me wearing DJ or Ex1. Times getting better now?

Erh, in a way, things seems to be better as compared to my time as i even see NSF carrying real LV bags. During my time, the most is LV wallet and Small leather goods.

I used the all time favorite brand - Casio.

I would think casio, seiko, citizen, luminox and maybe Ball works.

Rubber strap more comfortable to chiong mountain. PT on tarmac with bracelet may give you abrasion.
self powered lume like luminox or ball good for nights.
Audemars Piguet Ball Bell&Ross Cartier IWC Longines Omega Panerai Rolex Sinn Tissot

        Alba Casio Citizen Roox Seiko

Wanted to add PP but bo lui

During my recent last ICT, I wore 5512 when in camp not going to chiong anything. When outfield, I had my Mudman.

NSF time which was long ago, can only afford Casio.

                  CASIO G-Shock - DW-8195-1A4

This are the only affordable watches back in the mid 90s then ... =)
But it served me well. Still remember once my camp mate who was wearing a frogman dared me to throw our G-shock from the 4th floor and see which model survived. To my surprised, .... both models after thrown .. was as good as new. But we didn't throw on concrete ground uh ... and a grass patch..

I wore no brand watch, in case spoilt or scratched, then won't feel heartache.

Don't forget now NSF gets more allowance now, as compared to my times. They can "afford" better things.

i wore a $30 casio for bmt (NS pay was abt $200-$300 a month) and ocs (NS pay was abt $500+ a month). then i wore a suunto during the rest of my NS life (pay was about $700+ a month).

i've only gone back for NS once since then... and i wore a rolex and rode a motorcycle to camp. i think the RSM was not very happy for some reason.
