  • Which Omega would you buy...?

Assuming you have a budget of about S$4000, which preowned Omega watch would you buy...?

    (1) Omega Planet Ocean 48mm on Rubber Strap, Certified Chronometer - for S$2500

    (2) Omega Seamaster Blue Dial, Certified Chronometer - for S$1700

    (3) Omega Seamaster 300 Vintage, Non-Chronometer - for S$2400

    (4) Omega Seamaster GMT, Certified Chronometer - for S$2200

    (5) or for a Rolex Submariner No-Date Ref. 14060, Non COSC Certified - for S$3700

Which watch would you buy? Any advise? Views? Comments? Or perhaps an Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch (Cal. 861) which is going for S$2800?

Thanks and have a gr8 day

Omega PO for $2500 is a god damn good buy. I never see anyone selling his PO in less than $2800 so far. You might able to earn a bit if you buy at that price and sell it later... Hahaha...

If you are buying an used watch, no need to worry abt the re-sale value for the watches you have mentioned, coz you wont lose much if you wan to let go in future.

If you are considering just the Omega, then I'd say go for the PO.

Omega Planet Ocean 48mm on Rubber Strap, Certified Chronometer - for S$2500 for those with bigger wrist
                Or
Omega Seamaster Blue Dial, Certified Chronometer - for S$1700 for those with smaller wrist.
Personally i like the Blue dial with wavy lines..looks tempting......

Try putting on the Omega PO with the rubber strap on your wrist. You may just think differently then. I did.

Bro, thanks for your feedback...any particular reason why you would go for the Rollie No-Date Sub? Resale value? Or collectibility?

                    thanks again

                      Hi Bro,

Thanks for your feedback oso...Yes, I did inlcude the crown...But 48mm including crown for an Omega watch is kinda huge isn't it? Personally, I'm a huge watch siao myself

The PO I mentioned looks exactly like the posted picture...Black bezel (not orange) and comes with rubber strap.

                        Bro Melfiz,

                        Thanks foryour comments and advise...

I am primarily buying the watch for my own use...May or may not sell it off in future. But who knows...? Maybe if the value appreciates, I may consider selling...

I was thinking if I get the PO for $2500, say in 1 years' time, how much would the value depreciate? Say 30% (for starters), then I lose about $750...but since the PO is COSC certified, I don't think it will lose so much, would it? What's your take on this? But if I decide not to swallow the loss of $750, I can still keep the PO since it's a mechanical timepiece...

Ah, but if the value appreciates, then it's a totally different ball game then...

                        What do you think...?

Thanks for the encouragement Shuseido bro... Sadly, the PO doesnt have B&P

I'm oso quite into the idea of the PO...but how about the Breitling NaviTimer Chrono-Matic...condition is about 85%, selling for S$1700? this one is HUGE...about 48mm exlcuding Crown
