Notification of overseas trip
guys,do you notify mindef whenever you travel overseas for more than 24 hrs?

yes...do inform the mindef if you travel for more than 24hrs...u wun wan to have any nasty incident at the customs when u r back in singapore..Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak

i got a mail last night from them informing me that i did not report to them for travelling overseas for more than 24 hrs.And they reminded me that failure to do so i will be liable to be charged in court and fined up tp $2000!
They even printed out the dates in the mail ...

So coincidence, i just happened to receive a notification of oversea trip reminder from MINDEF that based on their records i have travelled overseas for more than 24 hours without notifying them. The letter served as a reminder only if this happen again the offenders like me are liable to be charged in court and will also kiss your $2K goodbye...

at first i did notify them via their website for overseas trip.But later read somewhere says only need to apply exit permit if travelling overseas more than 6 mths.So nvr notify for the past few yrs,nvr received any letter from gov,nvr a problem.Till last night this letter...
