I am certain there are as many 5712 lover as there are 5711 lovers. Both great time pieces in their own realm.

agree with u bro. each has his own perspective love n liking for simple or complicated designs . end of the day most important is to love wat u acquired . dun worried over whether the watch will decrease or appreciate later.

ur 5512 very rare leh, checked with few of dealers either no hv or was quoted guite high. since saw ur photo the image been flashing across my head constantly. really beri beri nice. love to own the watch one day.

Ya. The 5512 is rarer than the 5513. I got it at a price that is over the price of a used Ym or gmt2c. Some people say not worth it but like you say, worth or not is in the eyes of the wearer. For sure, it brings me more smiles than the gmt2c but got many people say siao to even want to wear such an old watch (like my wife)

The 5712 has always been a Grail to many. Since you got 2 babies, you need to get 2 pieces to pass to next generation. Ha

Meant to use this year's watch fund for a 5711 / 5712 but side-tracked too much ... additions this year include GO PML XL, JLC Reverso Grande Date, IWC Spitfire Perp Sincere LE, AP ROO Black Theme, Pam 233K (again) ... Sigh! When can I ever get my PP 5711 / 5712?

I sold my AP ROO theme and top up some more to get the 5711. Actually, the fund was meant for Lange but got sidetracked by 5711. Now, back to Lange hunt.

vintage watches are like a piece of history , just by staring at the watch, images of the watch past 40 years lingered on. No wonder i was mesmerised by your watch.....LOL....

Thanks bro. If I someday find a gilt 5512 and decide to pass this piece to another lover, will alert you. My wife also can't understand red sub. She say dame price can buy one with diamonds! I almost fainted.
