  • Army watch

Hi guys, need some advice as I'm going army soon. So far eyeing the luminox for army but any recommendation or rules on th watch allowed in army? Thanks.

Should not be any problem with any watch. But those too bling u might worried that it will get stolen, or those too big u cannot wear inside u no. 4 uniform. Most ppl i have seen are wearing casio back then. I think as long as not too bling, too big, or too loud, u are safe.

To add, get a watch with date, alarm and most impt water resistant.

If you're looking for something a bit more prestigious with a military background, but doesn't cost an arm and leg, you can consider Fortis, Hamilton, Glycine and Laco...sure to look good in uniform...but won't ORD sooner lah...

Well, I wear my BALL EHCI to rushing hill(translate from hokkien) and for range-shoot for a couple of my reservist. And it survived without a dent. For a man whom is going into service, get yourself a solid watch like BALL EHC series! Even if you wrack the BALL EHC series of watch, you would feel a pinch as it built damm solid and more valued for money than other watches.

Haha, you really a man with Ball/s! For my reservist just wear my Lacos or Glycine Combat, but I remember during NSF days, I simply made do with a Casio G-shock. No regrets with it!

Hey you are going to be hokkien trained.
                          or the scene have changed???

Good to have something that light up at night to see time.
Luminox works but not sure its durable enough.

All time favourite is still casio g shock.
Rubber strap is more comfortable during field and PTs.

Unless you are going to be No. 3 grade then no issue la.

Only black watches will be allowed during BMT.

After you get posted to unit, then it's your pasar alr...haha.

I'd advise you not to wear anything too flashy..
