How do you define luxury watches in your point of view?

A watch is not a necessity nowadays. Sometimes, I don even look at my watch to tell the time. Instead, I will for dunno what reason, slip my hand inside my pocket (scratch my XXXX a bit ) then take out iphone to look at time.

Hence, its money tht could have been saved (If i was rationale enuff ) so its a luxury to me

From "your" (i.e. consumers) point of view, it has got to be price, and in most cases price is tied to brand. IMO what one can hardly afford, or, like bro exxondus said, could have saved for other needs, is a luxury.

watch = need for me. as i need to tell time quickly without having to dig in my pockets for phone, etc. this means any half decent watch is perfectly fine, like a base seiko, etc

however; a rolex is a luxury, i buy it for kicks and self enjoyment. diamonds; gold; mechanical mov't etc, all mean its a luxury a want.

Luxury watch. Totally unnecessary, makes no economic sense nor rational sense.

A $30 casio can beat the accuracy and shock resistance.

But there are exceptions. Like increasing pick up rate at pubs...
