  • I agree with both camps; branded and non-branded.
For branded, a lot of them are pricey yet comfortable. I have friends that swear by certain brands despite the price. Apart from the comfort and fit elements, many know that they are also paying for the brand name and marketing.
As for the non-branded/less brand, many value-for-money options are available. Some are pretty well-made while others may not last the test of wear.
What is most important, to me at least, is that my feet are well-taken care of and the shoes I wear make me feel comfortable and confident. The $$ will be to each his own.

      • Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Whether the shoes are branded or less-brand, as long as meets what I want from it; comfort, style and confidence; the price will always be a factor of the value we choose to place on it.

            • Cheaper and low end brands tend to have lesser quality control... What that means is that some will last but some will not even though they are the same model. Really depends on luck.

With more branded labels, incidents of poor quality are lesser so will tend to have better customer satisfaction.

For me, I do not own LV, Prada, Ferragamo and so on but do not mind getting brands like Tods, Bally, etc. IMO, these are about the same quality so design takes precedence. These are like the RM, PP, AP of watches.

I do own mid-level brands like Rockport, Clarks, Cole Haan, etc. Quality in general is very acceptable. These are like the Rolex, Omega, IWC of watches.

As for Bata, Black Hammer those kind, I tend to try to avoid. Think Takane, S-Shock of watches... No confidence.

              • I normally switch between shoes and to allow them 24 hours of "breathing" to prolong their lifespan...

                • Working leather shoes, I feel LV is the best in terms of design.. Acceptable comfort too. Berluti is nice but abit expensive at 3k a pair..

Prada and ferragamo also not bad but their design more uncle.. Same for me, I switch among my LV leather shoes daily. Lifespan would be a lot longer than the hush puppies, Aldo's etc

                      • Wow all so rich.
Only $200 shoes of normal brand but quite well made is good enough for me.
Life quite tough, things are expensive, mouths to feed, bodies to clothe, minds to educate and spirits to nourish. Sigh not easy, not easy

Salute to all those with family and dependants.
