DIY - Make your own Valentine Gift Box

Hello Members of SG-ROC!

Valentine’s Day is coming! Surprise your other-half with this DIY Giftbox this Valentine’s Day. You can fill it with her favorite chocolates, cufflinks for him or just place a ring inside as a prelude to your planned proposal.



Tools Required
Crafting knife
Steel rule
PVA glue

Materials Required
2mm artcard
Fancy Paper, velvets or even fabrics


STEP 1
a) Cut-out 2pcs of artcard in a “heart-shape”
b) Measure the total circumference of the heart-shape artcard. Let’s say its 180mm.
c) Cut 4 strips of 20mm x 180mm artcard and 2 strips of 50mm x 178mm artcard; the former is for the walls of the box and the latter for inner layer.

if you dont mind me asking; does your box have the heavy solvent smell from the glue? when i lined up a container for my bluetooth headset with felt; i notice that the container will omit a solvent smell.

what glue are you using? i used commercial two pack glue; which i believe to be the main reason why there is a strong solvent smell.

There are 3 methods I wud use to minimize or eliminate the odor. Rexona is not one of them
