thanks for your responses and regarding the shop at jurong point what exactly does it sell? leather products or leather?
never been there before so better for me to clarify first before going
yeah i am oso looking to buy a medium sized piece abt 0.5metre by 0.5metre(or 1metre by 0.5 metre) there are some holes in my sofa so looking to buy one medium size piece to sew up the holes by myself as buying a new or repairing the sofa would cost more.
juz to add on the leather must be real cowhide

is not jus one hole... beneath the sofa oso have a few patch at the back oso have..so gotta go to those places that sell many variety of different texture and colour(easier to choose from) to sew it onto my sofa and oso got to consider the thickness of the leather.. and oso must go and find waxed string to sew

Oh sorry bro, i dun hv brown. Perhaps you cud try at SPOTLIGHT. The sell 250gm for $25 in a mix bag of leather sizes and colors.
My suggestion is not to sew. Its better to apply glue lah. Wait for glue to dry before sitting if not you'll be stuck on the sofa. LOL!
i once did a small repair job for a car leather door insert, noticed when i sand down the "scrap" piece, it will be easier to bond, and if possible; clamp the leather/clip the sections where there is adhesive. helps with bonding.
