I went to eye champ today @ my new working place @ serangoon NEX
they are having 50% discount for all frames and shades .. Except tag heuer and Fred ..... But however the maxium I could get discount for tag is 15% off from frame .. And darn my lens is really xxx would cost me as much as my frame cost ...

No le, I have managed to change my rubber pads almost every year since 2003, my vendor was the one who told me, we've got the same specs. You need to bring your warranty card only (and receipt: new requirements starting this year) to the distri at Leng Kee. I got it changed early this year. For $75, I used to be able to get a "new frame", depending on stock availability, owing to "defects" like loss of color, tarnish, etc. But I think they just repainted my old frames. Not sure with shades as I dun wear them. IMO, think they trying to make it difficult to do that nowadays, probably like PAM, wanna have more NEW business.

What lens is common in sg? Currently hoya lens, am considering something else. Something thinner as my power quite high.
