Which brand next in 2011 and why?

Bros, assuming that you are into Rolex watches mostly currently (this is just an example, can be PAMs, Tag etc), which next watch brand are you likely to venture into in 2011 and why?

It will be interesting to know your reasons for moving out of your comfort zone other then having more $$$$$$.

year 2011 is a no budget year for watches.

however, if i have the cash i will be looking for a AP End of Days or T3.

i would be steering clear of vintage pieces because the prices are dropping, however im not sure if it is rock bottom yet.

prices for preown watch pieces is pretty soft now.

Rolex Explorer II is worth looking at currently. prices range from 4k onwards without box and papers. 4.5k onwards for a box and papers.

couple of months back, can find explorer II with transition dial for possibly ~4.3k.

rumour is explorer II is going to undergo a face lift and the new model will be launching soon(how soon? anyone guess). so if there is any piece going around the above mentioned price, you may want to consider getting if you are looking at a preown explorer II. if you are into T<25 dial. i suggest you start hunting NOW before the price go north.

WG patek chrono with annual calendar... have a certain model in mind (5960p), but i'm not sure if i can find a pre-owned one with a suitable price.

failing which... no watches next year.

ooops. i forgot to say why... well... the wife likes the watch, so it's probably easier to persuade her to allow me to splurge on one.

second... i keep wanting a triple calendar chrono from patek, and with the introduction of the PP seal... why not that one?

Breitling Blackbird...if I can scrounge up the $$$. Been gg to the gym frequently and my speedmasters just somehow seem...tinier. Just got a Breit superocean heritage chrono and their overall manliness appeals to me!

Though my journey has somewhat ended, my collection of Submariner is incomplete without DeepSea, the WG Smurf, the YG and SubC LN.

The DeepSea I dun really like, the Smurf and YG, unless I strike 4D, SubC LN can still be considered for next years purchase...

Guess what, I was already looking at the SubC LN in PPC few days back.....journey ended?....guess you people are right.

Oh another suggestion from a fellow bro here, the threesome Greenie....Sub LV, SubC LV and GV....hmmm....

Ya rite LOL, should be the hulk or 351 for me. While Im still on holiday here in BKK, I stumbled onto a watch fair and discovered the Zenith Elite UT in RG...that moment of having it on my wrist almost got me to swipe THE card...no good no good.

Lets see how the steps will gather up and which one I will take...maybe none? LOL
