      They lost their patience waiting for the Swiss standard of living as promised by the SM decades ago, so now they go chase it themselves. HaHa!!!

        i think it is because s'poreans are trying to find the "ideal" life. Like all people we are true seekers (whether it is the significant other, life, money, watch , etc)

        i notice many students (sg and others) come to Oz and study, they go back, but in fact they still want to try and migrate here.
        Furthermore some dont even feel like going back even against their parents wishes

          I've got few friends who shared that migrating is the way to go if Singapore continues to maintain/increase its standard of living. Simply, BUAY TAHAN ..

            even my auntie love to visit UK, Aus and she has a fairly comfortable life..... she mention that she prefer to retire in UK/Aus eventually

                    'Ah si wa wu zhi ba ban', if only i have a million dollars I would migrate... definitely there is no way am i letting my children (in future) be exposed to e stress level here.
