  • Advise for small wrist....

    Hi Guys,

This might be embarrassing but here goes... I'm looking forward to get my first PAM.
One thing that really bothers me is my small wrist... On OEM rubber, i couldnt even wear it at the last hole.

I would really prefer the rubber for weekends. Only alternative I could think of is to punch extra hole. However this would not only lose the value of the strap but also the extra hole will have to be on the "officine" word.. erm... ugly?

Kinda of troubled here. Anyone will experience on this?

    1) get another OEM rubber strap and punch hole to use
    2) get custom made strap to suit your wrist size to use.

      as per what triton said...

get another OEM strap... and there are sizes for the strap.. so there may be a shorter strap which u can use...

else get a after-market strap...should be cheaper than OEM.. not necessarily custom made as some of the ready made after-market also have shorter length... even if it's the same length with the OEM.. due to most custom strap being thicker.. it should probably just about fit your smaller wrist (as u mentioned u only need an extra hole punched)... but of course with the thicker strap, u will likely need a new buckle too

      Problem solved...

Get a custom ammo strap. Isn't that one of the joys of wearing a pam?

Yup, you can order the 'short' strap via ADs or Richemont Svc Ctr ... certainly not cheap and turnaround could take a while too ...

                short strap from Panerai?
one forum bro bought his for $400. his wrist is 6".
Mine 6.25, using one of sg-roc advertiser strap (130/80, second hole from lug).
                What is your wrist size?

400 from AD seems expensive... At the very least, it will last very long if i were to keep the watch.... or keep one panerai...

I havent measure mine, but i suspect it will be 6-6.25...

Aftermkt will be nicer and cheaper just that for weekend, tends to sweat abit so leather is not exactly a good option

My wrist is 6" . Standard aftermarket 5mm straps works if you don't wear tight.

Regular oem 115/75 need to punch extra hole or too loose.
Ordering a short oem can take quite long. I waited 4.5 mths.

Can try water proof leather straps if you prefer leather than rubber.

                        Hi guys, back with qns.

For aftermkt, noticed they come is alot of different sizes. like 120x80mm. 4mm. wondering if I could wear them.
Which matters more, the length or the width of the strap?

                        TIA

Thickness matters. The thicker it is the longer you need.
