I didn't know AMEX got surcharge for luxury product cause usually when I sign overseas for accommodation I don't see any surcharge by AMEX

Not on luxury products but on overseas transactions. I compare the rates when using diff cards. Scb and amex seem to have worse rates due to added charges. If u do a Google u can find info about this as well.

Just check my credit card not in yet but other transaction I sign on that day the rate was about 77.5 so even at the worst worst case it should not be more than 10.1K ... Still some money save but is the process and experience I enjoyed
