They should receive death sentence or life long imprisonment + 24 strokes of cane so nobody will dare to play dirty with the charity money.

like i said previously, we live in commercial and materialistic world. everything else is b******t..........

furthermore, those that tell us how to live life, are themselves, living it up at our expense. recently the pope visit my country and he flew 747 with just him and his aides, somemore if he is so close to god, why is all the security needed? really thats food for thought.

I think Singaporean have the wrong idea of how ppl should work in the charity sector, same goes to the govt and private sector... if people are not suppose to be well-paid working in the charity sector, these organizations will be badly managed. We need to pay people well in the govt sector as well so that we can attract good leaders working in the sector. However due to the wrong mind side of Singaporeans, these MPs do not really dare to "show off" their wealth....

actually, middle to top mgmt executives working for certain/most charities are getting salaries above or at market rate...i used to work for a charity organization so i know....the problem here is not how much they're paid to do a job well..but abt integrity and conscience...

face it..non-profit organizations also need to make $$ to sustain its operations...govt cannot be fully funding all these...govt usually match $ for $ donations received... dun misunderstand the term "charity organization"...it's how they register their biz based on their objectives and getting tax exemptions (fundings too)... they're set up for the well-being of society/cultures/needy/animals....they need to also make $$ but they're not commercially driven...

Yes wolfeyes1974, you are right. I think the management of this non-porfit organizations have a harder job than those in the private sectors. The reason is they cannot be too commenically driven yet need to seek enough funds to substain business. If they are "too profitable", people attack them. If they are not "profitable", they cannot survive and might lose their jobs....
