ah.... Thats marketing... Not necessary so if a concurrent launch was done...
They just need to segmentise their mkt and lauch it 24hrs apart from another, that way, there wun be that many 'updater / enabling' svc requirements at their back end.
Which is more damaging?? A bad image for failed devices on a techy company OR 1 to 5pc being exported?? (they did mention limit to 1 phone purchase per plan).. The lesser of two evils i wld think...
The more obvious precaution could hv been for apple to beef up their back end system 5 folds!! Hahahhaha....

i suppose you are right in that aspect, a launch that was 24 even 36hrs different, would have been a much better idea, since lower upsurge in server use from customers.

like i said before, i play with 2G iphone before quite ok, but not fast enough (surfing net) so no fun. i hope 3G better speeds (real life use) and a much improved system
