Hi,
This came across my mind recently, esp after seeing such a 'vibrant' sales thread, and over some recent advices on savings and sound expenditure. Like many here, I have always wanted to buy as many watches as possible, and whenever I feel like it but unlike many here, I do not have the financial capability to do so. For me, a lot of discipline needs to be put in to save up to buy one good and expensive watch, and it is definitely not 'overnight', at least years
.
So I was thinking about this: Why don't we set our target here in the forum(choose one, if can afford, two/three pcs) and go for it?! Along the way, we can change our target(s) as long as by the dateline, we group together to go 'meet our targets' (buy THE WATCH).
Here's how:
1. We discuss here on a possible dateline, say, 31 MARCH 2009 for example.
So we can start to save up.
2. Then each of us will determine a target to achieve, say, ROLEX GMTII.
(you may choose to change your target)
3. This, in turn, can benefit potential sellers to prepare fpr the 'BIG DAY', cos
once arrangements are made to meet up and "cheong" a particular watch
shop/company, the AD SURE "lao-nuar"
.
4. There is again, no hard and fast rule who you shld buy your watch from
even private sellers are welcomed. So a note for private sellers; you can
prepare a "BIG FEAST" for us on the dateline, by acquiring as many
watches we are preparing to buy as possible. The watches will b in the
forum here for you to see.
5. Again, no hard and fast rule if you wish to pull out. It's suppose to be a
"stressless exercise", to make buying/shopping fun and fulfilling.
6. So, when we are near to the dateline, we can then fix a date to meet up,
say, at Watch Palace, and go shopping
!
Some here may nt find this logical or even sane (esp the richer lot) but I thought it's something this community can benefit. Like I say; GOOD for pte sellers(AD's lagi no need to say); GOOD for rapport building; GOOD for disciplining in savings; GOOD for pricing(hopefully buy mre, get mre discount); GOOD for buyers; GOOD to curb our cravings; GOOD for networking(some here may start to alert their lobang ADs liao )... and mre...
To make it hassle-free, you may post your target(s) in the signature??
