Hi, came across these ads in today's papers. First one's a 3-day (4-6 Jul) sale by JW Watch of up to 90% discount, store wide.

The second's an auction on watches and fine jewellery on Sun, 6 Jul at 12.30pm, at the Grand Hyatt, Scotts Rd. I quote part of the ad, "... Branded Watches including ROLEX DAYTONA, Green-Sub, PATEK PHILIPPE, "Gondolo Calendario", VACHERON CONSTANTIN, PIAGET, PANERAI, IWC, LONGINES, OMEGA, BVLGARI, AUDEMARS PIGUET, CHOPARD "HAPPY DIAMOND", BREITLING, GERALD GENTA, and Pocket Watches..."

havent seen the papers, but i presume this is a foreclosure sale or bankrupt sale / sherrif's sale kind of auction?

the last big one in similar fashion was Roy Eastern watch auction

LOL....usually sales are for accessories,some house brand watches maybe? Dun expect to see branded watches there

all the good watches are bought by the people working in auction houses long before they are put on show. furthermore if a business really go kaput, i can bet my bottom $ that the employee will also pocket a few pieces.
