Haha, well said bro! Well, the truth is my wife is very ok with me getting watches, but now I keep telling myself I'm done with watch buying.
Why 'gun' for a Patek Phillipe Aquanaut when I already have a nice and 'cheap' Vacheron Constantine Overseas and a Breguet to boot?

I'll only purchase when I sell, that's my new guiding philosophy now : )

        Very good back-up plan bro!
I also have spare bed in the home. When argue with wife, me and my two dogs squeeze on the bed in 'protest', then wake up with fur all over my face, haha!

Haha, if by surfing Sg roc in camp means to defend motherland, no problem for me!
Just very very sian and cannot book out till weekend only! : (
Well, at least no helicopter crashes in my camp.
In fact, we should use MRT aunty to defend motherland; in the battlefield, she scold enemy soldier for playing with their weapons or for being in fox-holes meant for pregnant fox until they surrender, hehe!

A healthy marriage has nothing to do with asking your wife permission when you can buy a watch.
it is not a show of respect either.

a healthy marriage is about showing love, trust and concern for each other.
Its about responsibilty, its about providing for everyone and the children.

as a man I don't think we should be asking our wive's permission to do such little things... I try to make the correct decision at work everyday and my wife will be worried if I can't even make a simple decision on when I can or should buy a watch?

going back to the topic, buy another watch when you have extra funds, lie low when you don't.

As a man i find that in a marriage every decision must be discussed over before commiting...marriage is not a one man hero show...and to buy a 20k watch is not a small matter to me...

Maybe you are swimming in different ocean....i m happy to swim in my tiny pond...

Btw it is not whether have to ask permission anot...it is the RESPECT that i have for my wife to inform her before doing anything major....

At work it is different from at home...Do not mix up the two seperate issues...in my company i also have to make important decisions...My boss will be raving mad to trust me if i cannot hold on my own in the company.

But at home it is better for the wife to know what is ongoing with the cash flow...

                              ok bro, got your point.

not picking on anything here but I think it is because I have lost too many buddies after they got married.

they can't even come out for drinks unless they go home before 2359.
when their wife call, they will panicked and have to justify why not home yet.
to me, that cannot be the idea of a happy healthy marriage, where is the trust?

I talked about this topic with my own wife (sign of a healthy marriage )and she said she would prefer a husband whom she can look up to, one who is confident and makes the decisions, not one whom she can control.

I guess to each his own.

No worries Bro...i get your drift...for me as long i keep my wife informed about what is going on she is perfect cool with almost all my watch nut habits...

When she 1st knew me, she knows that i am a certified watch nut liao...even up to now she accompany me to watch gatherings with no complains...sometimes she even join in the talking too...

As for drinking and such activites, i have long given up on drinking, clubbing and ktvs...

Different ppl have different views and that alone makes the world such an interesting place to be in...

                                Cheers,
