  • Upsizing or downsizing your collection?

just curious....how many of you are upsizing or downsizing yr current collection?

i've sold 11 watches last year as part of my consolidation exercise...

i'm upsizing...with 4 more slots to go..my aim is to have 20 decent watches in my collection...fill up my 20 slots watch box...

    cheers

bro, to upsize or downsize depends on how deep is your pocket lol. but of cause. If u ask me, today. if i got the extra money. i would want to invest in a property Watches of cause! too much is never enough. but investing in a property would give u passive income and also capital appreciation. Invest first, spend later!

I've completely downsized , evaulating which direction to head next. Think I have cleared out like 10 pcs in the past yr? Not much of a property guy, more into gold though.

Yeah. I've got hit by the G-Shock bug before but somehow the 'wavy' design of the rubber strap didn't sit well on my wrist and it hurt after awhile so I released the ones I had.

to me, no point keeping so many. so many watch, but human only can wear on 1 wrist

i intending to keep maybe 3 or 4. the rest invest in audio or cars or photography.

if really too much money, i will still pour all into property, or plan for early retirement

properties are deem to be appreciating asset.

watches are not deem to be appreciating assets.

i would rather buy gold than buy watch should i have spare cash to 'throw'

Moi ish looking to downsize. Decided that having cash on hand ish better than having watch on hand . Esp when I have plans to further my studies.

Now I am left with 1 G-Shock and my GMTIIc which I am also comtemplating to sell and get a cheaper beater
I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch.........

Me, downsizing my collection but still buying - getting rid of some and buying some (in a more controlled manner). Sometimes the return of selling few watches not enough to buy an expensive watch I like.

Recently sent a few of my/wife's watches for servicing and felt the pinch
Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one
