If i'm not wrong, that was cos schumacher drove his personal ferrari round the test track, hence the stig was schumacher for that episode.

many rumours float; and plenty of speculation. does it bother me? no, adds to the suspense of the show

They are not paying him enough, that's why he has to do something for himself. It's always about the money.

The BBC took the Stig and HarperCollins to court to prevent them from publishing his book which would have revealed his true identity. The Court of Justice over-turned the decision and now the British Tax-payer is being shafted with all the lawyers billls again. The BBC are still contesting and going through to the High Courts to pursue it. What a waste of money!

A new STIG is in the pipeline next year.
